Hello everyone. Nationals start today! As always it is really exciting to go into a competition. Remember the fundamentals for racing: execute the basic things perfectly, compete, and most importantly: have fun!
I will be attending the meet as much as possible, starting on Saturday afternoon. I’ll be crossing the city so I will be a lot late on Saturday and a little late on Sunday. Monday should be easy and i will be there on time easily.
Meet warm up is always up to you, however I do recommend you do three things: drill, kick, sprints. With some easy swimming mixed in. A template for warm up is what we did at practice on Thursday, however adjust accordingly to how you are feeling that day:
300 drill-swim by 50 300 kick-swim by 50 300 fast- easy by 25 6 x 50 desc. 1-3 Dives and turns
