Hello everyone, as we head into the last week before nationals it is important to stay focused on the fundamentals. Use this week to sharpen your skills to gain an advantage at stages of the race like the starts, turns, and finishes.
This week the practices are easy for the most part, with a few race pace swims here and there. Use this set up to get your more rested muscles to get a good feeling for the water. I like to compare it to stepping on to the moving walkway at the airport, all of a sudden you have more speed and for a few seconds it feels “weird” to walk with the same steps but achieving faster speeds. So sharpen your skills and get a good feeling. See you on the weekend!
