We are starting the build phase for our swim workouts and it can be tough! No matter which set you chose to do, last Thursday’s practice was a good one for mental toughness. Despite how hard we are working there is still a lot of encouragement with one another, pats on the back and positive energy. Working hard is good! It builds confidence, burns calories (earning that turkey dinner on the weekend) and it also produces results in the long run. Thank you to Steve and Judie for pushing us to go faster and further and to Sabrina for coaching smart swimming so that we can build that endurance we are striving for.
Our annual Wine and Cheese is coming up this Saturday night. It is such a nice social event, thanks again to Adrianne for organizing and Katrina for hosting. A note about parking from Katrina: there is limited parking at my (Katrina’s) building in the underground lot. There is parking on the street on Byng Ave, Holmes Ave and Olive Ave. There is also a huge parking lot at Yonge and Bishop. If people are planning on taking the subway, my building is less than a 5 minute walk from Finch Subway station.
IMPORTANT! WHERE ARE OUR STOP WATCHES?
Our stop watches have gone missing! Do you have them? Do you know someone who was on our team, who has since left, that may have them? Can you contact them? Please let me or anyone on the Executive know if you have any idea where they are. We need them for the Pentathlon meet in December. I will give you a Gators cap if you find them!
