November is over! As we go into December we are going to maintain the type of sets we’ve been doing throughout November with a bit more focus on different strokes. This week we are bringing the mileage just a bit higher than previous weeks, so be ready just a few more big freestyle sets.
As everyone must know by now, the Pentathlon is coming! I hope everyone is excited to host a great event, and ready to show everyone what a great team we have.
Finally, as we keep going into our training season we are fast approaching Racing Season! Before we start racing officially I want to host a time trial for our team on Sunday December the 20th. The races that we’ll be swimming are 100 free, 100 back, 100 breast, and 100 fly. The rules are as follows: You can swim a max of 3 races, and a max of 8 heats per race. This is just a chance for everyone to get an open lane for themselves and see how fast they can go on a few races in a very relaxed environment before start racing in January. We’ll have a 20 minute warmup followed by an hour of racing at the Sunday Douglas Snow practice. If you are part of the regular crew that swims in the Sunday Practice we’ll have a workout in the shallow end in case you don’t want to join in the racing. However, I strongly encourage you to try at least one event, have some fun, and surprise yourself.
